Guy L. Marker
Guy L. Marker is a master carpenter and Latter-day Saint scholar whose career shifted in 2004, leading to over 15 years managing projects across 38 countries for the Department of Defense.
While working in Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, and Dubai, he turned isolation into intense private scholarship. His research led him to a remote site in Oman that he identified as the scriptural Bountiful. This discovery ignited a 20-year study of the journey of Lehi and Nephi, blending personal exploration with insights gained from the Bedouin people of Aqaba, Jordan.
Guy is a leading advocate for the Heartland Model, which asserts that Book of Mormon events occurred in North America. His work combines forensic analysis, historical documentation, and modern imaging technology to examine questions that sit at the intersection of faith, history, and science.
